TEFN Awards Selection Committee
The Award Selection Committee is composed of nonprofit executive directors, former education foundation directors and consultants. The Committee’s objective is to recognize excellence and innovation in the work of education foundations. Specifically, the Committee is responsible for reviewing submissions and determining the recipients for the TEFN Outstanding Achievement Awards. Specific objectives for this year are:
- Review and determine winners for the TEFN Outstanding Achievement Awards;
- Work with Texas Pioneer Foundation board to ensure a positive awards process;
- Further identify opportunities to streamline and standardize awards procedures.
Outstanding Achievement Awards
TEFN invites applications for the 2025 Outstanding Achievement Awards to showcase the great work of your foundation!
Examples of submissions can include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Printed marketing materials such as brochures and annual reports
- Digital presence, such as website and social media campaigns
- Projects, programs, and events such as grants, employee giving, and community awareness activities
- Donor relations and management techniques and strategies
The Awards Committee will consider:
- Creativity and innovation
- Approach to addressing a problem, action taken, and outcomes produced
- The overall impact of the foundation’s efforts internally, to the district and/or the community
Selected award recipients will be recognized on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the awards ceremony luncheon during the conference and will provide a brief presentation of their submission.
Award Showcase Exhibits
Applicants may have the opportunity to showcase their submissions on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, during the TEFN Annual Conference. More details coming soon!
Application Process:
Applications: Submissions should be made through the application below (1,000 word maximum). Supporting visual aids, such as marketing materials or photographs for video are encouraged. The file size should not exceed 5MB.
Deadline: Applications will be accepted through March 7, 2025.
Award Recipients: Selected finalists will be asked to give a short presentation showcasing your awards submission during the TEFN Annual Conference Luncheon on April 10, 2025.
All award recipients will receive a grant from the Texas Pioneer Foundation. Grants will be funded after the TEFN Annual Conference.
