I am working on my Fall plans and I am hoping you all might be willing to share some information with me. We always just do an employee campaign where they can do payroll deductions. I want to grow that program to be a community-wide campaign (instead of depending on NTGD for that).
Questions:
- Do you do an employee campaign, community-wide campaign, or both?
- If you do either or a combo of these, can you share any language or marketing that helps communicate your message (especially to the grater community)? We have our typical branding and messaging, but I think we need to simplify for this purpose.
- If community-wide, do you have companies set a goal based on number of employees or a minimum?
- Any advice is welcomed!
I have such a great business community that loves our district and I am just trying to find better ways to engage the employees at each business and to grow our brand in the greater community. I think Royce City has a great program like this.
THANK YOU! I appreciate the help. Take care.

Aubrey only does an employee campaign however we are looking to expand into an annual campaign within our community. Would love to hear any feedback you get on this email 🙂

We only have the Employee Program but added a feature this year. We always gave a monogrammed polo Partner shirt to our staff that enrolled in the Partner Program. We added a student program where students purchased a Friends of the Foundation shirt to wear on Partner Days with jeans like the staff did. It was a HUGE hit and our staff actually asked for the same opportunity. So we opened it up to our Partners (had to be in the program to purchase the shirt for obvious reasons), and it took off! We now have Partner and Friends Jean Days. Staff Partners can wear either shirt and students wear their Friends Shirts. Its great publicity and has really taken off. Our goal is to expand into the community this next year.

Hi Jamee,
I love this idea! In Prosper, we only have an Employee Campaign and the NTGD Campaign with plans for an annual campaign. I'm curious to find out if anyone else is doing the Corporate Employee giving campaign idea. I can see this working well in Plano, but then anyone can make a monthly reoccurring gift if you are set up with online giving. I might just add this language to may content as well‚ Throw it out there!
If you could get one big corporate partner to do it, show their impact – lead the way, that would be awesome!
If you launch it, let us know how it goes!

We have an RCISD employee T Shirt campaign that does very well- See attached document and picture. In 2019-20 We raised around $51,000 just from our employee T Shirt campaign
We do an annual campaign for our "fundraiser" But I would love to change that up to be more of a monthly recurring gift program since we are now doing a fundraising event.
I would also love to reach more businesses and employees for matched employer giving.
Red Oak has several great campaigns-

Sanger Education Foundation has two payroll campaigns and has from our inception. I will be the first to confess we need to revisit our second payroll campaign which is with the City of Sanger. Sanger does not have a tremendous amount of local businesses except for the small mom and pop variety. The major businesses along our I 35 corridor participate in either United Way campaigns or have internal policies that prohibit them from offering payroll deductions. We have had success with our area businesses in an annual contribution invite event. Our local businesses contribute annually in August for their staff to join district staff and wear our SEF shirt on the 15th day of each month as an area supporter. These same businesses often "sponsor" a month with a door prize for a district staff/campus who sends us a selfie on the 15th to "win". We enter all the photos into a drawing and the business decides what they want to offer as a door prize. Prizes have ranged from Sonic Drinks, Fresh baked cookies, Ice cream sundaes, to business swag.
Our City has been wonderful with some of our supporters contributing with their monthly payroll deduction since 2005.
I will be following this thread closely and can't wait to hear what others are doing.
Sincerely yours,
Valerie

Does anyone have alternatives to campus incentives for your employee giving campaigns? I learned at TSPRA that we are no longer allowed to offer campus wide incentives per the attorney general. For example if 75% of employees on a campus donated the foundation would provide breakfast and lunch for the entire campus.
