I'd love to have some input or see existing policies around Gifts for Board Members leaving your Board due to ending a term or a resignation. Do you give a gift? What is the gift? What's appropriate amount to spend? Do they have to serve for a minimum number of years to be eligible?

Randy,
We give our board members who are going off our board a clock with their name and years of service on a plate on the bottom that says, "Thank you for your gift of time." We spend about $40 on the clock.

Thanks Teresa. Do you do this for those that don't complete a term? Has that ever happened. Is there a written policy about the gift?
